What Got My Attention This Week in Travel...
It's easy to see this as an influencer story, but it's really about governments redefining what 'work' looks like while travelling. The US has warned influencers heading to the World Cup, and Bali has drawn its own line around commercial content. If this becomes the norm, we may end up with fewer sponsored sunsets and more authentic travel stories.
The end of a conflict may help stabilize fuel prices, but airlines don't reset fares overnight. Between reduced competition, fewer available seats and steady demand, this is another sign that travelers may need to adjust expectations around what a cheap flight looks like.
Some of my favourite travel experiences have come from skipping the obvious choice. The places everyone talks about aren't always the ones you'll remember most.
I've visited more than 60 countries, including one on this list, and I'm not sure I could have confidently explained the difference before reading this. Travel is a great reminder that there's always something new to learn.
We've been hearing about Europe's new Entry/Exit System for months, but this is one of the clearest explanations I've come across. Definitely one I'm bookmarking for future reference.
