The best destinations for food lovers aren’t defined by fine dining alone. They make memorable food part of everyday life. Look for places where you can eat well at a market stall, a neighbourhood spot, or from a chef who’s doing something new with local traditions.
We sifted through hundreds of resources, found the best ones, then tracked which destinations everyone kept talking about.
Most Recommended Destinations:
Paris (8/17)
Paris is famous for fine dining, but what stands out is how easy it is to eat well anywhere in the city. You’ll find great food at a bakery, a market, or a corner bistro. There’s no single dish to chase, just a steady level of quality almost everywhere you go.

Bangkok (7/17)
Bangkok is one of those cities where you can eat well at any hour, whether you’re grabbing something from a street cart or sitting down somewhere fancier. The food is bold, affordable, and everywhere, so you don’t need to plan your day around a meal.

Tokyo (6/17)
In Tokyo, you’ll notice how seriously people take food, whether it’s a chef perfecting one dish for years or a tiny noodle shop that’s been around forever. You can eat well at any price, from a quick lunch to a special dinner.

My Pick:
Mexico City (6/17)
It didn't make the top three, but it's the one I'd book. What I like is that you don't have to go to high-end restaurants to eat well. Some of Mexico City's best meals come from street stands, markets, and small local eateries, where everyday food is given the same attention as fine dining.
