Travel tips and reads that got my attention this week:
One of the best travel upgrades in the last few years is how easy it’s become to ditch your luggage for a few hours. Services like Bounce and Radical Storage mean you no longer have to drag a backpack through museums or cafés. Combined with the increasing cost of flying, layover programs have never been so appealing.
I’ve been in St. Martin after a hurricane once. Beautiful place. Rough recovery. Personally, I wouldn’t gamble on Caribbean hurricane season, but people absolutely do for the cheaper rates.
Travel Tip: Shrink-wrapping your luggage at the airport is mostly peace of mind, not a travel essential. But if your bag is headed through rain, ferries, dusty cargo holds, or multiple layovers, it can be genuinely useful.
Travel is mostly logistics pretending to be freedom.
