The destinations that inspired me this week
Every destination is a snapshot in time. Go back ten years later and you'll probably find a different place. Today is already a version of that place you'll never see again.
'Rainy season' is often a headline, not the whole story. Sometimes moving from one coast to another is the difference between cancelled ferries and perfect beach weather.
I have a soft spot for beach towns. They solve a lot of little travel problems. You can swim, eat, wander, grab a margarita, and not worry about renting a car.
Destination Tip
Don't stop at the city everyone flies into. The second-biggest city is often less polished, less crowded, and every bit as memorable. That's usually where I start feeling like I'm visiting a country instead of a landmark.
