I spent a month in Caye Caulker in October 2018. I arrived from Bacalar via the ferry from Chetumal.

I stayed at Weezie's for the duration and loved the fact that a bicycle took me anywhere on the island in 15 minutes.

I got out onto the water several times to snorkel.

And did a bucket list flyover of the Blue Hole and the barrier reef.

My favourite part of being on Caye Caulker was that I was never more than a five-minute walk from a great sunset.

The 'go slow' pace of island life suited me. Especially with a Belikin in hand.
